First Clickbank Check!

Sorry I have been slacking on updating my blog. I’ve been working on and offline but have been neglecting to document things here. So, what I’ve been up to…I now have 8 Google Sniper sites in one niche but only two of them have produced sales. All of them are ranking on the first page though but only one is #1. I do think that maybe someĀ  of the keywords I picked may not have been targeted enough. My plan is to do more of Angela’s backlinks to help boost them up. I have also been doing a few Ezinearticles to help. I am also considering getting into PPC. The market is really untapped at the moment. I am actually testing out several products across my blogs that cater to the same niche to see which one does better. A new one just came out that looks really good and they even had a free landing page you can use/copy that is a review type page. I thought about testing out PPC with it just to see what happens LOL I got a great report on PPC when I was on the Wealthy Affiliate site (when I forget to cancel by free trial LOL). The main problem with PPC for me is that I can’t monitor it all day long since I am at my offline job. I might dabble here and there but probably won’t do serious PPC unless I am working at home.

So anyway, two of the blog have been making sales totaling about $200 a month (and they are just about 2 months old now). I got my first Clickbank check in the mail this week. I think my DH was impressed that it was real money and I am not just playing around online :D

I do tend to get distracted and like to test out different systems. The latest one I got drawn into was a WSO mentioned on TNB forum about the Amazon Autoposter plugin. This is a REALLY COOL plugin! I have already bought 3 more domains (slaps wrist!) and set up two so far. They are pretty quick to set up. I followed the WSO but really you can just follow basic niche blogging techniques that Amy teaches in TNB and it will work (except you need to do keyword research like you would for Google Sniper since you don’t do as much promotion as you would with TNB).

I already made one sale on my first Amazon site and the site wasn’t even indexed yet! Someone found my site through the RSS feed on Feedage that I submitted. My site finally got indexed and is at #12 right now so hopefully I will be on the front page soon.

My list is pretty pathetic LOL I’ve only got 2 people that signed up for the series. I think I need to make the sign up box more prominent and see if that helps!

Well, that is a good update for now and I’ll let you know how the other Amazon blogs do!

  • Wow, that’s pretty good. I’m not even close to earning the same as adsense though. How did you manage that? I’ve got plans to use it on my next blog though!

  • i also use infolinks on 3 of my blogs and it is also earning as much as adsense. .’,

  • I use Clickbank together with Infolinks on my Blog. You can earn a lot in Clickbank if you just concentrae more on US traffic ~

  • Hi Fabian,

Well, with promoting CB products, I really only have one sniper site that earns anything. I lucked out in a certain niche and have a #1 blog there. It’s seasonal though so I haven’t been making as much lately.

For my own product, it was something I stumbled on completely by accident way before I started with TNB. My site is in the top 5 for a lot of the terms (it’s related to education so it’s also seasonal). I just use E-junkie to manage that since it’s a low ticket item.

Besides TNB, I have also bought products from Nick at Niche Market Ninja (he has a nice membership area). I’ve also done Google Sniper, Amazon Autoposter, Xfactor…what ends up happening is my sites are turning into hybrids of all the methods LOL I apply the same KW research methods and then decide if it’s a CB product, Amazon product or Adsense site.

  • So how exactly are you able to make so much through e-products. I cannot make a sale on clickbank to save me. Where else are you learning beside the niche blogger? Thanks in advance.

  • Well done! I have received my first check too! I was 170+ dollars! I think that it’s not bad at all for a first check. Nice blog!

  • Thanks for dropping by Will. I have used that site before – it’s very good.

  • Hello Sara, Congratulations!

I think CB is great when used properly (good KW analysis + a good PPC campaign + well thoughts SEO efforts).

I sincerly recommend you to use cbEngine.com It is a gem to analyze trends on CB.

    All best,
    Will

  • I’d rather not share my niche but I will say that for Clickback, the key is to pre-sell, not sell, since they are information products. I find it kind of difficult so I haven’t ventured out into a new niche yet. I picked a good keyword which obviously helps. Very little competition (although becoming more competitive now).

  • i have to say, i never had much luck with clickbank. I tried a couple of times with several programs and nothing. What did you focus on?

  • Congratulations on the Clickbank cheque! That must be a great feeling :D
