All in all March went pretty well considering that I didn’t get much new content out there. I picked up some more affiliate sales and Clickbank is still picking up. In fact, it’s my best month yet!
I admit I’ve been dragging my feet a bit – drifting around and losing focus. I keep coming up with all these great ideas for AFTER I make a decent passive income. There are a lot of things out there that would require me being able to get online during the day to keep tabs or answer emails, which I obviously can’t do until I can do this full time (I know there are IM people who do this while at their day jobs but I would be found out fast, I’m sure!!).
I don’t know what is up with my e-product sales being down but hopefully it will pick up as we get to the end of another semester. Then the sales will drop like a rock over the summer! I actually bought a better keyword-rich domain that will work for my e-product. I’ve had it almost a year and have done nothing with it. I finally got an idea to actually give the product away for free but put up a CPA gateway that keeps the content locked until the visitor completes a survey or whatever. I’m just getting started looking at a CPA network to do this so we’ll see how it turns out. If I can get it up and running over the summer then maybe it will be ranking well by the time fall semester starts.

So now for Hacking, Part 2. You may or may not have noticed on this very blog, sometimes there is a link that appears at the top of the page promoting some kind of online pharmacy. I noticed it awhile ago and just didn’t take the time to figure out how to find it or get rid of it. I’m still not sure yet but I think it will involve getting into PhpMyAdmin and deleting it out of a SQL table. Oy veh! It may also have something to do with the theme, but I’m not sure. Seems I was using this for awhile without any mysterious links. It’s an excuse to update this blog sobe on the lookout for that!
I think the people that host the widget started putting Adsense on it. I noticed it awhile ago and just left it for the time being. It might get deleted though
And I DO NOT have 1700 sites. LOL
As far as your hacking the widget over on the far right hand side I believe where it shows your recent posts underneath recent visitors has an adsense ad on top of it. It comes and goes. According to my SEO quake there are 1700 sites by this adsense account. Unless you have 1700 sites up someone might of hacked it-Just FYI.
My first $100 took awhile, too! I really got lucky with one particular niche which brings in about 30-35% of that total. Pick the right niche and that takes out a lot of the back end work! I’m getting better at picking phrases that rank on the first two pages of Google right away without backlinking. With a little backlinking, I can usually get them on page 1.
Persistence pays off!
I really envie your Google AdSense earnings! I would very much like to earn that much! I had reach my first 100$ a couple of days ago, after 3 years a blogging.. I wasn’t that much into earning money online befor, but your blog make me belive I could earn more… But gonna be a lot of work in my spare time… Congradulation on you AdSense success!
Well, what we could get by on and what I feel comfortable with are two different things! I’m thinking $100-$150 a day would probably be about right. It wouldn’t replace my current income but we could make it work. Technically we could live on just DH’s salary now but we would have to really cut back on retirement savings and college savings, etc. Giving up a career makes me really nervous to! I think I am averaging about $25-30 a day now.
Nice earnings! Do you have a goal in mind before you would be willing to quit your job?
